Mermaid Tears Mega Make Up Trend

In any case, the color should have a powdery or creamy consistency, not an eyeliner or an eyeliner. Metallic tones that glisten slightly look very beautiful. So in the evening a gold or silver is great. For summer parties you can also choose yellow or orange, which looks very nice on tanned skin.

The color can stand in total contrast to the eye color. But even if you repeat the small colored speckles in the eye, it is very effective. For example, if you have small beige-yellow speckles in the iris, yellow looks absolutely great as a mermaid dots.

Brown eyes are basically all eye shadow tones. Blue eyes tolerate contrast with beautiful brown tones, pink or apricot. Green eyes look particularly dramatic with purple, soft red tones and blue or gray.

Little guide:

1: Apply a primer to the entire lid with your finger and powder. For an everyday look, it is best to choose inconspicuous nude tones. In the evening, the rest of the movable eyelid can also be colorful or dramatically made up.

2: Now apply the eyeshadow to the inner corner of the eye with a small brush or an applicator. Starting in the area of the tear duct, then fading out downwards and upwards towards the crease of the eyelid. You can also gently set the point with one finger.

3: Hide the transitions correctly. You can use a facing brush and start at the outer corners.

4:   Now draw an eyeliner and apply mascara. Complete!

Variants of the Mermaid Tears

Once you have discovered how great the mermaid tears emphasize the eyes, you might want to paint the inner corners of the eyes in a different color than the outer edge. That's a good idea!

A light color on the inside opens the eyes optically and makes them look more alert and radiant. So it doesn't have to be a point, you choose a light color for the inside of the upper and lower eyelids, such as metallic copper.

It actually looks even more authentic when you let small rhinestones flash from the inner corner of the eye. These can be attached with skin-friendly glue. This is of course only something for the big show or carnival, but it causes a sensation.

Mermaid Tears plus Cat Eye

A combination of mermaid tears and cat-eye was created at ChloƩ. The eyes were rimmed really black, similar to Smokey Eyes. This gives the models a somewhat strict, but very dramatic expression. It looks brighter and friendlier if you paint the cat eyes in black, but then add light accents around the eye and in the corners of the eyes.

Current trends for Mermaid Tears

At the beginning of the trend, the color tones were matched to our eye color, now cooler tones such as blue, silver and black dominate.

Dramatic eyeshadow variations can now be created from small dabs of color, such as black eyeshadow into the corner of the eye. Seen at Chanel spring 2021: Here black eyeshadow was applied centered in the inner corner of the eye and distributed over the entire upper lid.

Even more emphasis is now placed on a well and conspicuously veneered line. We wish you a lot of fun with the great mermaid look!
